Protection and Healing St. Patrick was born in Britain in the 4th century. As a youth he was captured by Irish pirates and brought to Ireland as a slave. He escaped after five years. Patrick returned many years later as a missionary. St. Patrick challenged the High King and the Druids at Tara by building a fire on the Hill of Slane. Some Celts believed that Jesus was the return of the ancient god Celi and followed St. Patrick. Legends say St. Patrick cast the snakes out of Ireland. His symbol is the shamrock. St. Patrick battled the Druids and attacked their sacred stones. The book of Armagh tells of the acts of St. Patrick, who is the male patron saint of Ireland. He and St Brigid are buried in the same tomb in County Down. Size (cm): 3,0 x 3,7 |
